We want you to be the best all-round doula you can be, so we’re making that easier. We want you out there supporting families, not repeating info you’ve already learned.
First - You start with “The Essentials” where you will learn skills needed by all doulas, then you return for a specific skills intensive to focus on what you need to know for success as each type of doula: birth doula, postpartum doula, and for the first time, breastfeeding doula.
Sick of everything doula related coming from south of the border? Doula Essentials was created to fill the gap for Canadian doulas, now we’re taking it to the next level.
This is a new training for Canadians by Canadians, no more wasting your time, we focus on how to help your clients with real world experience and examples. Created by a leader in perinatal support for 2 decades, right here in Alberta, doulas and care providers alike have been asking for a higher standard, we are committed to providing that.

You can start with the modality that most appeals to you and work your way through the rest from there.
Step 1 - First
The Essentials
A new idea in doula training. “Separating the wheat from the chaff”, The Essentials will set you up to be an excellent doula. You don’t need to re-learn these concepts every time you want to expand your knowledge or offerings, so you have 2 years from the date of your course to attend the skills workshop for each doula variety.

Postpartum Doula Training
We are not interested in gate-keeping tricks and tips to help your clients when they’re home with a new baby. Whether you want to offer this service as a stand alone, or as an addition to your birth doula packages we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to be labeled the next “baby whisperer”.
Birth Doula Training
In an all new training for Canadians by Canadians, we are taking birth doula training to the next level. By focusing on how to help your clients with real world experience and examples, we get to the core of how to support clients, how to read the room, and how to be the best doula you can be.
Our workshop focuses on one to one connection to ensure you are prepared and supported.
Created by one of the most experienced doulas in Calgary, you will see why this workshop has been reqested by doulas all over the world.
Breastfeeding Doula Training
Over a decade of supporting nursing families has lead us to create an innovative workshop to give you the skills to support new families who are falling through the cracks.
