Robyn Hooper - Located in Revelstoke, B.C.
Robyn Hooper is a birth doula (labour support) professional providing support from prenatal to postpartum period to mothers and their birth partners. Robyn completed DONA (Doulas of North America) certified training with Doula Essentials. She has also completed additional courses and training in breastfeeding, advanced comfort measures, 'When Survivors Give Birth' course (June 2019), infant and pregnancy loss support, childbirth education, and prenatal classes. Robyn moved to Revelstoke for the great community, the outdoors, and environmental work. She is passionate about working with mothers and their birth partners to support them through the ‘journey’ of labour and birth – however that looks for each family/individual.

Birth always held a fascination for me. When I was younger my family often shared stories of how we were born and it became apparent to me very early on that this event is life-altering. Not just in the sense that you add another human being to your family, but the memories of the births were still so vivid after a lot of years had passed. When I started my own family I hired a Doula to support us and her involvement will always stand out as pivotal to our
positive experience.
Now, many years later and having given birth to 5 amazing kids, I am more passionate than ever to provide support to birthing families so that they can become confident in their roles as new parents and look back with fond memories to this special time in their lives.
